“Sending a basket full of wonderful wishes for your
birthday” is what reads on the front of my Stampin’ Up! Basket of Wishes fall greeting card.
There are three styles of baskets to fill with fruit or flowers in the Basket of Wishes Stamp Set. With fall quickly approaching, the sunflowers keep calling my name. Did you see my Basket of Wishes card with a border of sunflowers? You can see it here.
It was easy to add the sunflowers to the basket because Basket of Wishes is a photopolymer (clear rubber) stamp set. You can see through the stamps. No need for a stamp positioning tool when you can do that.
This is a simple card dressed up with several layers. The most noticeable are the ovals. Those were die-cut with the new Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. There are fifteen dies in the set. What’s special about this set of dies is you have the option of scalloped ovals for layering! Sometimes you feel like a scalloped layer, sometimes you don’t. My Basket of Wishes card looks great sporting a scalloped oval.
The Crumb Cake polka dot paper is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. My plan was to use the opposite side with the script only to change my mind when I flipped it over to apply Fast Fuse Adhesive. The polka dots just felt right.
The other two layers behind the layered ovals are Crumb Cake and Garden Green Cardstock. The basket was watercolored with Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad ink and the leaves were colored with Garden Green ink.
Tied over top of the three layers and under the ovals is the new Kraft Rope Trim from the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. I removed one of the strands of the braided rope.
The Basket of Wishes Stamp Set is also from the Holiday Catalog and available to order now in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.
If you’re quick, you can save 25% on the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies! You need to place your order by September 21, 2016 grab up the savings.
