Found this Halloween basket with a skull on opposite sides at Dollar General and
could hardly wait to fill it with Halloween goodies. It’s was so much fun to decorate it for a Stampin’ Up! Halloween Scares basket of tasty treats!
After filling the Halloween basket, I designed a couple of Halloween picks using the Stampin’ Up! Halloween Scares Stamp Set and Spooky Fun Stamp Set. Did you notice what I used for the stems of the picks? Pixie Stix! How cute is that? And extra yummy treats!
The spooky houses were made even more eerie with the windows glowing with watercolored So Saffron Classic Stampin’ Pad ink shaded with Pumpkin Pie. Would you walk up those steps for some Halloween candy?
The moon was very easy to make by starting with So Saffron Cardstock instead of Whisper White Cardstock. It was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch with some sponging around the outside with Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The sponging coordinates with the moon on the Utz pretzel bag. A few bats were also added, carrying on the coordination with the pretzel bags. The largest bat is from the Halloween Scares Stamp Set. The smaller bats and greeting are from the Spooky Fun Stamp Set. The two sets work so well together, you’ll want to order both.
All the supplies to make my Halloween Scares basket of tasty treats are pictured lower in the post and available to order now in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.
