Looking for a Halloween treat that isn’t candy? Stampin' Up! Spooky Fun Halloween TreatHave a look at my not so sweet Halloween goody bag!

Both the treats inside and the goody bag decorations at the are far from sweet.  The Utz Halloween Mini Cheese Balls have a spooky tree, just like my gift tag with the die-cut tree from the Stampin’ Up! Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies. What a great find!

When the 6″ x 17″ Gusseted Cellophane Bags were delivered, I expected to need to cut them down. Other than for a bottle of sparkling cider or wine, why in the world would we need such a long bag? By the time I filled the Halloween goody bag with seven cheese balls and pretzels snack bags and cinched the bag together to wrap it with Halloween Night Designer Washi Tape, the long bag was the perfect length. Just in case you don’t desire the cellophane bag to be that long for your gift, trim it the desired length on your Stampin’ Trimmer.

The first step to making my spooky Halloween gift bag tag was to use the tree die from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies to die-cut Basic Black Cardstock. Then I needed to figure out how I wanted to attach it to the cellophane bag. Pumpkin Pie Cardstock is a great match for the orange on the cheese ball bags. So I then used the Layering Circles Framelits Dies to die-cut a Pumpkin Pie circle.

After using the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the die-cut tree to the circle, for a fleeting moment I considered hand trimming the excess and then thought “phooey with that idea” and grabbed my circle die again.

To add the “Spooky Treat for You to Eat” greeting to the tag, it was stamped on Vellum Cardstock and placed over top of the spooky tree.
