Oh Shelly, I’ve had my mouth wide open in wonderment! What an amazing tip. Thank you so, so much. I wish I had known this a few years ago when I used a number of intricate dies for all the different stationery for my sons wedding . It wasn’t a small wedding and there are so many different elements that go with invitations these days, along with things for the table without anything else. Your tip would have saved me hours and hours if not days. But never mind, it was a labour of love. Thank you for sharing your idea today , it will save lots of time from now on. Thanks too for another great video. I’ll close my mouth now. Take good care.
Hi, Linda!
You’re welcome! Wish I had tried my experiment long ago too. I imagine the wedding invitations were beautiful.
I was using Sizzix Thinlits Dies. If using another brand, try it a couple of times and judge the results.
Thank you for the comment!
Thanks for the extra tip Shelly. I mainly use Sizzix, oh and all things Stampin Up of course. I do have a few dies of other makes so yes, I will give them a try first.
Many thanks, for both tips.
My pleasure! Hope it works on your other thin, metal dies too.
You are just TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t know what we would do without you taking care of us. I have a stack of cuts in their little bags waiting to be used and was just wondering when I would ever get the time to work on others. Now, I won’t have to stop after each cut and clean those “nasty” little pieces out and will have my projects finished many, many times quicker. I said I wasn’t going to tell you this, but since I am not the only one that gets frustrated with stopping and cleaning, I will. Was mass producing succulents and was tired but had a few more to do, so. put my thinlet on platform where I had just laid the foam pad I use with my Big Shot die brush. , put protector pad on thinlet and pushed the button! Had a jam and realized the foam pad was not to be used on my Vagabond! It dug into my foam, but now I don’t have to worry about small things! Thanks for the great techniques and videos and everything else that you do for your stampers. We love you.
Hi, Betsy!
You’re so sweet! You’re most welcome! I expect you’d get the same results with your Vagabond but recommend doing your own test after running it through twice to make sure the pieces stuck in the die come out as easily as if you’d only done one cut.
