A regular 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ clean and simple thank you card with the new Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock for the card base was the plan. Until I remembered the new Very Vanilla Note Cards & Envelopes. They are the perfect size for my simply pretty Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous note card.
The die-cut oval was looking a little lost on the larger card base. The 5″ x 3-1/2″ isn’t all that much smaller, but it as if they were made for my Happy Birthday Gorgeous card.
The sweet flower and stem are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set. The “Thanks for being you.” greeting is from the also new 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. It’s one of the greetings with complimtary sentiment stamps from the Special Occasions Stamp Set. What a beautiful thing to tell someone is that you appreciate them for exactly who they are.
The Special Celebrations Stamp Set pairs beautifully with the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. Soft colors of Soft Sky and Blushing Bride for weddings and babies on one side and embossed gold foil on the other.
The finishing touch is the Soft Sky 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon. So soft and pretty.
The Very Vanilla Note Cards are Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. The cardstock is sturdy, making for a great card base that can easily handle the weight of layers and embellishments.
