One of my sweet stampers was working on a project with a good bit of embossing and asked how quick did she need to be? Keep reading to learn if you have to be quick like a bunny when embossing.
I told her she had at least ten minutes to sprinkle on the embossing powder when the image was stamped with VersaMark ink.
Almost told her that I truly thought she’d even have up to an hour. But, didn’t dare without proof. This was a question I wanted the answer to and knew you would too.
After running the Embossing Buddy over the top of three Basic Black Cardstock card bases, I stamped the “Joy to the world” stamp from the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set with VersaMark ink. Then set the timer for ten minutes.
White Embossing Powder was sprinkled on ten minutes after stamped. It clung very well. It was then melted with the Heat Tool.
The timer was set for 20 more minutes to test at the 30 minute mark.
The VersaMark ink was still good and wet. The embossing powder clung well again.
The timer was set for another 30 minutes. Would the ink still be wet enough for the embossing powder to cling?
It did!
