Peacocks are majestic birds but not one I’ve been drawn to for card making. That was until I made this card with the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Peacock Stamp Set. Love how it turned out!
One of my sweet stampers asked if I had made a card with the new 2018 Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration stamp set and, if so, was it hard to use. It was time to find out.
It was easy to line up when first stamping the body then the feathers. It’s best to start with the darkest color followed by the lighter color because you can see through the lighter ink for effortless alignment.
A quick search of pictures of peacocks overwhelming showed the birds brilliant blue making Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad ink be a great choice. The feathers were stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The two vibrant colors are well suited.
The peacock, foliage, flowers and greetings used on my handmade greeting card are all included with stamp set.
