The Dynamic Sizzix embossing folders are considerably thicker than the regular folders. Did you read the instructions or just open the package and run to your Big Shot to give it a try, like me? If you read the instructions, we’re told to mist the cardstock for a better impression. So, the question we’re going to answer today is to mist or not to mist when using Sizzix Dynamic embossing folders? Does it really making a difference?

Did the results of trying one sheet of cardstock dry and one misted surprise you? I remember when Stampin’ Up! carried the Textured Embossing Plates. The directions read to mist the cardstock. The difference with the subtle impression was not noticeable, certainly not worth the extra step.
This time was much different! I imagine you’ll be misting your cardstock after watching the video when using Sizzix Dynamic, also called 3-D, embossing folders.

thanks for the video! your card is beautiful! I know it’s two years later, but I thought I’d watch anyway. I don’t mist, mostly because I don’t want to wait until it dries, but you may have convinced me I should to get a more “dynamic” result!
Thank you! You can speed up the drying time by using rubbing alcohol. I use 91%.
