The skunk from the Stampin’ Up! Hey Love Stamp Set will help you to make a stinkin’ sweet handmade Valentine card for kids or adults.
The animal stamps in the Hey Love Stamp Set from the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog are very much like the images on the boxed children’s Valentine’s cards. Because so, your first thought is probably to make a handmade Valentine card for a child.
That’s true, but every adult will be charmed by the stinkin’ cute skunk tossing hearts on the die-cut hearts from the new Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.
The skunk was colored with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, Petal Pink and Lovely Lipstick. We have Basic Black Stampin’ Blends but the darkness of the color covered the eyes and mouth. To get the skunk colored as close to black as possible without making the eyes and mouth disappear, I went over twice with the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends was added along the right edge of the white areas for a hint of shading.
Also added to the white areas is a bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. That will delight children and most of your girlfriends.
The skunk is set against black and white with a splash of bright pink. The plaid or checked background is from the Sale-a-bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. The exclusive background paper is yours for FREE with a $50 product order placed by March 31, 2019, IF supplies last.
