My Butterfly Gala card is a sample card from the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalog with a change of colors and ribbon. It was a handmade birthday card with butterflies that was too cute not to copy.
My handmade birthday card is in blues instead of purples as is the catalog sample because blue is a girlfriend’s favorite color. The new 2019-2021 In Color Seaside Spray is attractively paired with Night of Navy.
A must-have with the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set is the coordinating Butterfly Duet. Duet because it punches both the large and small butterfly stamped images. Use it with five butterfly designs in the set or alone as a great finishing touch for you handmade cards. In the case of the handmade birthday card with butterflies, the butterflies are the focal point instead of an accent.
The scattered dots were made with one of the background stamps in the Gallery Grunge Stamp Set. They pulled all the elements together (butterflies, Seaside Spray 1/2′ Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Night of Navy Cardstock die-cut circle, die-cut birthday greeting, and Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins) on this clean and simple birthday card.
