My mom taught us to love flowers and birds. That’s probably why I believe you simply can’t have too many flower or greeting/sentiment stamp sets. Flower sets work out well for feminine handmade greeting cards but not so much for men. There isn’t anything flowery about the handsome new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Stamp Set used to make my handmade lighthouse card.
I wanted a white building for my handmade lighthouse card. That was accomplished by stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad ink on Whisper White Cardstock and then colored with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. That little bit of added color provided shading and made the image look complete.
The magnificient sky was created by applying Mango Melody Classic Stampin’ Pad ink with a Sponge Brayer at the top, Pineapple Punch in the middle, ending with Blushing Bride at the bottom.
