Here’s something fun to try. After adding a die-cut image to your cardstock, run it through your die-cutting machine with an embossing folder. The embossing infuses the die-cut for an extra decorative look. That’s what I did with the Christmas Layers die-cut and the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder for my Stampin’ Up! Tags Tags Tags Valentine’s Day card.
Multipurpose Liquid Glue was used to adhere the die-cut vine to the Very Vanilla Cardstock layer BEFORE running through my die-cutting machine with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. Make sure the glue is dry. The effect is the die-cut is infused with the embossing for an interesting, decorative layer.
Once your embossed infused background is made, now for the gift tag. It was stamped in Melon Mambo Classic Stampin’ Pad ink and the three hearts die-cut from Melon Mambo Cardstock. The hearts are included with the coordinating Trio of Tags Dies.
Only see two hearts? Look closer. An open heart was added to the tag for more dimension. Dimension is an incredibly easy way to step up your handmade greeting cards.
