Haunting Handmade Halloween Cards with Stampin’ Up! Celebration Tidings

If spiders and spider webs give you the creeps, then you’ll most likely believe these are haunting handmade Halloween cards. Or, you’ll find them to be elegant for DIY Halloween cards with the scroll of either side of the spider web from the Stampin’ Up! Celebration Tidings Stamp Set.

Also elegant is the patterned paper from the Magic is This Night Designer Series Paper with flowers and spider webs intermingled in Basic Black on Cajun Craze. The stamp set and background paper are from the new August-December 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. 

One of the haunting handmade Halloween cards is sporting Black 5/8″ Glitter Organdy Ribbon. It added the third touch of elegance.

Then, I tried the black/white Baker’s twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack not expecting to like it nearly as well. Yet, there’s something about the coordination of the Whisper White Cardstock with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad with the black/white twine. Which do you prefer?

Just as I was wishing for a die to cut out the spider for me, I found not one, but two, included in the coordinating Celebration Labels Dies! I personally find hand-trimming images to be relaxing, but trimming around eight legs, not as much. Thank goodness for the spider dies among the shapely labels dies.
