Ever have what you think will be a great card idea and then wonder what it would look like tweaked? That’s what happened with this SIP card (stamps, ink, paper) card. The leaves didn’t stand out quite as much as hoped against the full sky background. That’s how two clean and simple Stampin’ Up! Life is Beautiful cards came about.
Sponge Brayers were used with So Saffron at the bottom then moving up with Bumblebee and then Cinnamon Cider Classic Stampin’ Pads. The leaves are stamped in Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Old Olive. What I find appealing about the full sky background is how the color blends with the Cinnamon Cider Cardstock card base.
How would it look with more white space? A good bit of white was left when for the second SIP card idea I used the Layering Circles Dies to make circle template. Stamping Sponges were used to add first So Saffron in the center and then Bumblebee around the outside of the circle to create a fall sun.
The leaves are brighter with the sun card.
Seeing both of my Life is Beautiful cards, which one do you prefer? The full sky background or the sun?
