Valentine’s Day is the next big cardmaking holiday coming our way. Hidden among all the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas stamps is the retiring Stampin’ Up! Flight of Fancy Stamp Set. Cupid is waiting to help you make adorable handmade Valentine’s Day cards!
Cupid stands out punched with the Heart Punch Pack, layered and popped up over the entire image. It’s a variation of the spotlighting technique. Typically, with that technique, only the focal point is colored.
Instead, I added a lot of color to the background. My card was looking plain, more than I cared to have. A friend asked me what did I think about clouds. Loved the idea! I made a cloud template with 2″ Circle Punch and 1-1/2″ Circle Punch. Seaside Spray ink was added with 1/4 of a Stamping Sponge.
Another hidden Valentine’s Day item is the pink patterned paper from the incredibly popular Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. It’s retiring and available only through January 4, 2021, or while supplies last.
A few extra hearts were added to the scene with the separate three hearts stamp included with the Stampin’ Up! Flight of Fancy Stamp Set. Use the also to add a bit of decoration to your envelope.
There was just enough room for a long greeting. The “Heart to Heart” greeting is from the Heart to Heart Stamp Set. It’s listed with all the handmade Valentine’s Day card supplies below.
Order the cuties for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day before they retire and are gone for good in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com! Available only through January 4, 2021, or while supplies last. Whichever comes first.
