My pastor’s wife asked me if I’d be willing to teach our ladies at a Mother’s Day breakfast how to make a greeting card. She is planning a garden theme. My sweet friend recommended I use the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set with the Dragonflies Punch when I said I’d like some dimension. The handmade greeting card definitely needed to be quick and easy to make. That’s how my mostly monochromatic card design came to be.
It started with choosing a stamp set and then fell into place when I remembered the Dandy Garden Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. Look at how pretty the card bases and envelopes are in Bumblebee!
The flowers have so much detail that they look lovely stamped in Bumblebee. The “May good things grow all year long” is also from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set. It fits perfectly with her garden theme. You just have to love how some things work out.
My mostly monochromatic card needed a pop of color. Coloring the large dragonfly body with the Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker and wings with the Misty Moonlight, from the 2020-2022 In Color Stampin’ Write Marker Assortment, provided that burst of color.
The finishing touches were the little Bumblebee dragonfly (from the Dragonflies Punch) and a little ladybug on a flower stem from the Ladybug Trinkets.
Here’s to hoping the ladies enjoy making it.
