My mom is a master gardener. I am not. My home is where house plants come to die. Perhaps the ever-popular succulents would be the answer because I forget to water my plants. A little research reveals succulents are only to be watered when the soil is bone dry. Perhaps we’re a match made in heaven. Also heavenly is my Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents card idea with the decorative tone on tone background.

The grouping of succulents was colored with Stampin’ Blends, alcohol markers in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors. These markers quickly became my favorite method of coloring for a couple of reasons. The first is how easy it is to color, blend and shade with them. The second is how vivid the colors are. They make our projects look outstanding.

You can blend the light and dark markers of the same color AND blend different colors. The purple flowers were colored and blended with both Mint Macaron and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.

There is a colorful sample in the January-June 2021 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. My background is much more understated on my Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents card idea using tone on tone.
