The Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window card in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog is breathtaking in blue. My mom’s favorite color is green. So, I changed the main colors for a gorgeous in green handmade Mother’s Day card for her.
My mom always says, “This looks like _____________ (insert name)” when we’d see something that either reminded her of that person or was made with something they liked, such as hummingbirds. This handmade card idea definitely “looks” like my mom. Her house and yard have always been filled with plants and flowers. She has such a green thumb that she’s a Master Gardener. And, as mentioned, green is her favorite color. So much so, so are her shutters.
The coordinating Window Flower Box Dies are pretty sweet. Every stamped image, except the greeting, on my handmade Mother’s Day card was die-cut. No fussy cutting required. 🙂 But, there are also dies that require no stamping. You can build your window scenes with dies that also have embossed wood grain!
How about the stucco wall?! That was accomplished with the help of the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. It was the perfect foundation for Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window card idea.
The three greens all work well together. Soft Seafoam and Shaded Spruce are a natural pair. But, what green would look good with them for the flowers and plants? A little surprisingly, it’s Just Jade with Magenta Madness flowers in the pitcher and Highland Heather for the potted flowers.
