Some of my sweet stampers would shy away from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Holly-Days Stamp Set regardless of how much they like the beautiful bird. Why? Because coloring isn’t their thing. The solution is my handmade Christmas card idea with the Sale-a-bration Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper!

The Sahara Sand plaid pattern suits him well. If you look closely you’ll notice the tree pattern behind him. How fitting for our plaid bird.

The third pattern for my Stampin’ Up! Happy Holly-Days card is another of the patterns from the same pack of background paper. The color coordination of Real Red, Sahara Sand, and white make it possible to have a mix of three patterns for attractive hand-stamped greeting cards.

The “sharing the promise of the season” saying on the outside and the “Christmas Blessings to you and yours” used stamped inside are both from the Happy Holly-Days Stamp Set.

The holly and berries were stamped on the same plaid pattern as the bird. The berries were quickly and easily colored in with a Real Red Stampin’ Blends marker. Even my non-colorers won’t mind that tiny bit of coloring.
