Of all the inviting and colorful patterns in the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper , the one with the white birds and flowers images outlined in black with a Pool Party background was the one standing out when I sat down to play with it and the coordinating Friendly Hello Stamp Set. Nice, huh? I used both for my simply elegant handmade card design.

Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, alcohol markers in Stampin’ Up! colors, were used to color and shade the bird and flowers only. The opposite of the patterned paper. Simple. Clean. Elegant.

The bird is stamped on a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock die-cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The rectangle die has a decorative scalloped border with a stitched border. The decorative edge makes a white unlayered layer look beautiful and complete.

The largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies was used for the die-cut Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper. A narrow border of Basic Black Cardstock framed the patterned paper and allowed it to stand out against the Pool Party Cardstock layer for my Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello card.

Black & White Gingham 1/4″ Ribbon and Classic Matte Dots were used for the finishing touches for my simply elegant handmade card design.
