The retiring Abstract Beauty Cards & Envelopes come with watercolor backgrounds done for you. My Stampin’ Up! True Beauty cards are pretty & quick to make using them!

I chose the light blue watercolor brush marks for the first card because it reminded me of a sky background. The Melon Mambo flower and Mossy Meadow stem and leaves look awfully good against it.

Then, I tried the same colors for the flower and set it against the Night of Navy background. The contrast is more dramatic and makes it difficult to choose your favorite.

For some extra “greenery,” I used Vellum Cardstock for my Stampin’ Up! True Beauty cards with the coordinating Organic Beauty Dies. The vellum die-cuts are subtle against the light blue and stand out so much more against the Night of Navy. The same effect holds with the Crushed Curry and black backgrounds.
