This big guy is splashing water out of the washtub as he cools off on a hot summer day. Seriously, he’s stinking cute on my clean and simple card! He’s from the Stampin’ Up! You’ll find among the card supplies listed below the Color Lifter. I used it to lighten the Smoky Slate Light Stampin’ Blends marker on the washtub in my attempt to color it similar to the sample in the Sale-a-bration catalog. It was explained to me that it doesn’t “lift” the color, instead, it pushes it through to the back of the cardstock. Either way, it allows us to lighten the color on my Stampin’ Up! Hippest Hippos card.

The sky behind the hippo was stamped with the circle from the Watercolor Shapes. The splashes of water in Pool Party Cardstock still stand out against the Pool Party circle. Do you like the subtleness of them?
