The apple stamps in the Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest Stamp Set are so realistic that you want to pick one off the tree and take a big bite. Their beauty is enhanced when you add the intricate dies from the limited-edition Apple Blossoms Dies.
In addition to the many intricate dies to enhance the apple stamps, there are open dies to die-cut to three apple and apple blossom images. That’s wonderful because, as much as I enjoy hand-trimming stamped images, the thin branches would have been challenging. Coordinating dies make cut-out images very easy but also allows you to make multiples of your Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest card designs.
The label die is one of the extras to the open dies included with the Apple Blossoms Dies. It’s the perfect fit for the “The greatest gift is a good friend” greeting that is part of the stamp set. See the little Flirty Flamingo scallop decoration under the greeting? That’s an intricate border die to use with this card idea and others you’ll make.
I used Blending Brushes to create the sun and soft sky behind the apples. The ability to easily have cut-out images makes the Apple Harvest set more flexible for your design choices.
The pretty pink pearls? I used the same Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends used to color the apple blooms to add color to the Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels for the finishing touch.
