Two of my favorite things together for my clean and simple card ideas with the Stampin’ Up! Decorative Borders Stamp Set. Border stamps have always intrigued me. They can be beautiful used alone, as with my handmade card to the right or as an accent.

The border image stands out well against the Basic White Thick Cardstock with the vibrant colors from coloring with Stampin’ Blends markers in Orchid Oasis, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Sea Foam. I would not have done any layering if not for the alcohol markers bleeding through. It worked out well because the framed look added a nice touch to this clean and simple card.

The second card is a stepped-up version with a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Kind & Sincere Stamp Set, Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper, and Orchid Oasis 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon. The flowers are in the same colors to coordinate with the strip of background paper.

It seems the Kind & Sincere Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Decorative Borders Set were made for each other. Kind & Sincere has two more large greetings, “kind” and “thanks,” to pair with various phrases, such as the “on your big news” used for the card above.
