We made this Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangements card with Sara and Shelli while on the Million Sales Retreat*. It was nice to have only four or five of us at a time for this special treat.
What I found to be so clever about this card are the sprigs die-cuts. The “You are the best” greeting was stamped on the piece that was designed to go behind a label. Think about how much time and fussy that will save you. You will avoid applying adhesive to a thin stem and attempting to arrange them artfully to the back of a label. I’ve spent a lot of time attaching and moving around again and again. What about you?
Like the background? I got too heavy-handed with the Stampin’ Spritzer. The idea was to be able to see the stamped stems. 🙂 We used Blending Brushes to apply Pumpkin PIe, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad ink to the Basic White Thick Cardstock layer for the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangements card. Next, water in a Stampin’ Spriter was sprayed onto one of the stem stamps and then stamped over the inked cardstock. It’s pretty cool because that lifted some of the ink.
So, you now have two looks you can achieve with this technique. Get heavy-handed with the water and get blotches, or lighten up to see the detail of the stems. I rather like the blotches.

It is a pretty card, and I have recently learned how to use open dies to make great embellishments. Taking a day to make and store up a bunch is pretty easy, so I’m not impressed with the labels that are already embellished. Being someone who has to budget for crafting supplies, while I would love to have everything, I have to pick and choose.
