This feminine handmade greeting card has curves all in the right places. 🙂 The curved layer is one of the Stampin’ Up! Around the Bend Dies. The leaves along the right side are part of the die. So pretty!
This card idea was fashioned from a sample in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. I used the new Bubble Bath Cardstock instead for the base and different bling (Glossy Dots Assortment). The bright pink centers were a fantastic finishing touch.
This homemade card was easy to make now that I’ve provided the size of the curved layer below.
After the die-cutting of the flowers and additional leaves is done, the next step is to color. I used the Small Blending Brushes and Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad ink for the leaves. It gave me good control to vary the depth of color of the stems and tips of the leaves.
This step was followed by using a Blending Brush and the same ink color to color the remainder of the curved layer. It was quick and easy to add all the color that pops on my Stampin’ Up! Around the Bend card.
Did you notice the splatter? That was done by picking up some Shaded Spruce ink from inside the stamp pad lid and tapping the wet Water Painter. Splatter has a subtle touch that always seems to dress up our handmade cards.
The “hello There” greeting from the coordinating Around the Bend Stamp Set was embossed in white on Shaded Spruce Cardstock.
