Summer isn’t over yet. Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, but the hot temperatures will have you desiring a day on the water as depicted in this handmade sailboat card using the Stampin’ Up! Sailboat Builder Punch.

There’s a fun little surprise with this handmade birthday card idea. It’s a pocket card. You pull out the message instead of opening the card.

My demo friend that I met up with in Las Vegas for a Stampin’ Up! leadership conference participated in a fun fold swap. This homemade card was one of them. I thought it was just adorable and pondered with her what we could do to dress up the Basic White Cardstock with the sentiment to provide some contrast for the Basic White Cardstock circle to the white cardstock behind it. She said we could add some clouds. That would look great for this handmade sailboat card, don’t you think?

Now, I need to add it’s very easy to critique someone else’s card design. No disrespect is meant in the slightest. It tickles me and has me wishing I was out on the water this Labor Day.

Sorry, I didn’t take a ruler with me to the BackStage leadership conference to write down the measurements for you. My friend was gracious enough to allow me to take pictures so I could share them with you.
