Handmade hibiscus card with embossed Cloud Cover background and flower cluster in the lower right corner.

Sometimes the simplest designs turn out the prettiest! This handmade card features the Cloud Cover embossed background with a cluster of die-cut hibiscus flowers in the lower right corner for a soft, balanced design. It’s quick to make yet still has plenty of texture and detail. Best of all, it highlights a discounted Last Chance product—the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder. If this folder is on your wish list, you’ll want to grab it now before it’s gone for good.

The embossed background adds instant elegance, and I lightly brushed Secret Sea ink over the raised flowers to bring out their detail. Layered hibiscus blooms in the corner add a cheerful pop of color and dimension. Together, these elements show just how versatile the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder can be—whether you use it for a subtle accent or let it take center stage.

Project Details:

  • The card front was embossed with the Cloud Cover 3D Embossing Folder for subtle texture.
  • I lightly brushed Secret Sea Classic Stampin’ Pad ink over the raised flowers to highlight the embossed detail and give the background more depth.
  • Using the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder, I embossed and die-cut hibiscus blooms and leaves in Timid Tiger, Strawberry Slush, and Secret Sea cardstock for layered detail.
  • The flower cluster was arranged in the lower right corner of the embossed panel, leaving plenty of open space for a clean, balanced design.
  • This card is versatile—you can add a sentiment, or leave it blank to keep on hand for any occasion.
  • Pearl embellishments finish the flowers with a soft, polished touch.
