So Pretty in April with the Pretties Kit

This is one of my favorite pages.  Beautiful in its simplicity.  What really tickled me was how the Pretties Kit flower turned out.

I first used the Aqua Painter to color the whole flower with my Pretty in Pink Classic Stamp Pad.  It looked nice but needed a different color for the center.  While it was still wet, I colored the center with Barely Banana Classic Ink Pad and the Aqua Painter. 

When the Pretty in Pink ink started to bleed out towards the tips of the flower, I thought "rut ro".  I just knew I had ruined the flower without any spares for a second try.  Then much to my surprise I saw how adding the Barely Banana ink resulted in no-effort shading!  Absolutely love how this turned out.
