Well, I moved on from my Christmas in July cards before I was done. It dawned on me when I posted the video using the Stampin' Up! Branch Out stamp set yesterday. I had forgotten to post my Branch Out Christmas card! It is one of my favorites.
My stampers all hesitated thinking this was too hard. But, it is so simple! I stamped the tree in Soft Suede, made a mask for the pun with a piece of card stock punched with the 1-1/4" Circle Punch and then sponged Brocade Blue Classic ink all over. Hint: I did not pounce with my 1/4 Stamping Sponge, but instead rubbed the ink into the card stock. It allows me to get great, full coverage that is not spotty.
The bird was stamped in Real Red Classic ink after the sponging was done. This was to make sure my bird was in the moonlight.
The White Gel Pen is the extra little something I write about so often. Don't you just love the snow on the branch tips and on the tire swing?
The Merry Christmas greeting at the bottom is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and also stamped in Soft Suede. Now, wasn't that a lot easier than you thought too?
The Branch Out stamp set is on the Stampin' Up! Dormant List. That means it is not pictured in the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog but is available to purchase through my online ordering website www.stampinsmiles.stampinup.net. Go there now to order this great stamp set! If you don't, you will forget about it because it isn't in the book. You know the saying, out of sight, out of mind.
Stampin' Smiles,
