Not traditional Christmas colors, but isn't this a pretty card? One probably should not say that about her own card, but I am so happy with it. It will be one of my cards for my Christmas in July Fast & Fabulous Cards class.
The dove, poinsettias and greeting are all one stamp (stamp set images pictured below). I stamped it with Rich Razzleberry ink on Whisper White card stock. It was pretty layered on the Rich Razzleberry card stock and then on the Pretty in Pink. But, I wanted to pull in the Pretty in Pink color. I wanted something other than sponging around the edges.
My desire was to keep the dove snow white. So, I stamped the dove on a scratch piece of paper and cut it out. This is called a mask.
I placed the mask over the stamped dove and sponged Pretty in Pink ink all around it. It turned out as pretty as I imagined it. Watch my YouTube video by following the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAdkMs77Ch8.
A pretty Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon bow finished my card. I try not to do many bows because tying bows is not a favorite of many of my stampers, but a knot would just not do for this elegant card.
The sizes and colors of my card stock are
Pretty in Pink: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" folded in half
Rich Razzleberry: 3" x 4-1/2"
Whisper White: 2-3/4" x 3-3/4"
To duplicate my card, you will need these stamping supplies:
