Godby With Us Stamper Pat Pawlowski asked if there was a secret to using a clear acrylic block to create a background. She was not getting the results she hoped for.
Having been meaning to try it myself for quite sometime and to give Pat an answer, I used the Stampin' Up! Clear-Mount Block C (2" x 2-1/4") as my "stamp" with the new In Color Summer Starfruit Classic Stampin' Pad.
You will not get a solid image like you would with a rubber stamp, but I rather like the splotchy background. The silhouette flowers from the Stampin' Up! Just Believe stamp set sure is pretty over the rectangular, splotchy background.
The die-cut butterflies were made with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits and the Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine. Embosslits are so cool; they die-cut and emboss with just one pass through the Big Shot.
Look how at how the die-cut and embossed butterflies coordinate so well with the butterfly background paper from the Patio Party Designer Series Paper. That paper is so pretty! The sweet little butterflies cannot help but put a smile on your face.
A nice close-up of the new 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. The new stitched ribbon comes in ten different colors, my card sports the Whisper White. The stitching adds a little something something to ribbon.
The colors of the Just Believe card are the new In Colors Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit & Primrose Petals. The lighter blue is Baja Breeze and the white is none other than Whisper White.
