Stampin’ Up! Classic Black Stampin’ Pad Issue

Stampin' Up! Classic Black Stampin' Pad (item 126980) has a drying issue on when stamped on Whisper White or Very Vanilla Card Stock.  Even after letting it air dry for hours or overnight or drying it with the new Heat Tool, the ink smears if touched.  Not what we want in our ink pads.  Although, it works fine on all other colors of card stock.

Stampin' Up! is working on resolving this drying issue.  If you have purchased a new firm foam Classic Ink Pad from me, we will exchange your stamp pad when the issue is resolved. 

If you were planning on ordering the Neutrals Collection, go ahead and we will exchange your Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad included in the collection and exchange it later.  Stampin' Up! will pay the shipping for the replacement Basic Black ink pad.

Until then, either use the old pad style or Black StazOn (item 101406) when stamping on Whisper White or Very Vanilla Card Stock.

As soon as this drying issue is resolved, I will post an update.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this has or will be.  Despite the drying issue with the Basic Black pads, I must say I absolutely love the new firm foam pads.  Ink coverage, especially with solid stamps, is like we have never seen before!  Also love how you do do not have to pound on the pad to have our stamps fully inked.  All you need to do is gently touch the stamp to the ink pad.  What a godsend to our stamping friends with arthritis!  And giving all of us a more quiet and peaceful stamping experience.
