In keeping with the 25th anniversary of Stampin' Up!, we will count down the last days of ordering from the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog.  Each of the 25 days, starting today, I will post a handmade greeting card made with one of the many, many retiring Stampin' Up! stamp sets that will soon no longer be available to order.

Today's handmade card was created by Godby (God-be) with Us Stamper SUSAN LUNT.  Susan used the retiring Stampin' Up! Artistic Etchings stamp set.

Susan's colors are Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler for the ink colors.  A regal color combination suitable for the majesty of the Eiffel Tower.

Susan must think I've finally lost my mind.  I emailed to tell her I liked how she used the Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (also retiring) on her handmade card.  With the closer look in the picture above, you can see she created her own background paper with one of the stamps included in the Artistic Etchings stamp set.  Just another great example of how Stampin' Up! stamp sets and accessories were designed to coordinate.

Susan's "just for you" greeting is from the also retiring Stampin' Up! Just Believe stamp set.  It is a perfect fit for the Word Window Punch.  How do you like the offset Basic Blak layer made with the same punch?  A little splash of color that gives the greeting the same continuity of a Basic Black layer.

Susan used a combination of stamping and embossing for her unique background.  She first used another of the stamps from the Artistic Etchings stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad ink to an all over pattern of color.  She then gave the background texture and design with the retiring Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder through her Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cut Machine.

She then sponged in some Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad ink.  It not only gives her handmade card an antique look, it brings it all together with the background behind the Eiffel Tower also stamped with Crumb Cake ink.

The finishing touches were added to the inside of Susan's card and envelope provided by the same stamp from the Artistic Etchings stamp set as used behind the Eiffel Tower.
