Humorous birthday cards are my favorite. My older brother and I have always looked for funny birthday cards to give each other. Master Gardener Mom thinks it is awful. She doesn’t understand the time it takes to find just the right card. My little brother wanted to play too but is more sentimental than us. He’d get the funny birthday card but felt compelled to also send a sweet one. Now that makes me giggle.
Then I started making my own handmade birthday cards. Long gone are the days I purchase mass produced, store greeting cards. Stampin’ Up! does a lot of beautiful stamp sets and thoughtful greetings. But what is a girl to do when she wants to harass her brother a bit and make a humorous handmade birthday card? This year Stampin’ Up! has made it a lot easier with the new Giggle Greetings stamp set.

Molly was also having fun playing with my new stamping toys. Look how well the cheese stamp fits into the new Deco Labels Collection Framelits Dies. Almost like it was made for it. Molly really loved my new Big Shot Magnetic Platform. Molly giggled with delight when the Magnetic Platform pulled the Framelit from her hand and stayed right in place for die-cutting. No more frustration of the Framelits and Edgelits moving while we are die-cutting them.
The Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper cooperated very well for Molly’s card. Birthday candles and numbers! The greeting reads “age is something that doesn’t count unless you’re a cheese.” Once again, you just have to love how Stampin’ Up! stamps and accessories coordinate and compliment each other making us look brilliant. Of course you are. But brilliant is easier with Stampin’ Up!
