Picture of Framelits Dies stored on magnet sheetsYesterday I shared how Godby (God-be) With Us Stamper Pat Rau organizes and stores her Framelits, Edgelits and Thinlits Dies.   Sylvia Detty emailed this money saving suggestion:

“You might let your subscribers know that they can go to Home Depot or Lowes and get magnetic vent covers. They are about 9 x 18 and come with (I think) 3 in a package for less than $5. I looked on the Avery website and their 8.5×11 magnetic sheets go for $14 for 5 sheets. The vent covers are easily cut easily with scissors and the magnet is stronger than most of the magnetic sheets you can buy. They work GREAT! I cut them down to size and slip the dies back into the frosty plastic envelope they came in from Stampin Up! and keep them in a plastic basket. That makes them easy to find and thanks to the magnetic sheet they are not slipping around in the envelope. This is a fairly cheap way to get the magnetic sheets. Gotta save those dollars for stamps and dies!”   Sylvia Detty

Sylvia is right.  Saving money on the magnet sheets for our thin metal dies will leave us money for our stamps and accessories. 🙂
