Last year I posted my favorite card from the Founder’s Circle swap. A beautiful card made with the Stampin’ Up! Joyful Christmas Stamp Set (available on the Holiday Catalog Carryover List). Out of all the non-Christmas cards from the swap, this handmade card with Stampin’ Up! Backyard Basics Stamp Set is my absolute favorite!
Where do I start with what made this card stand out? Is it the pretty flower stamp from the Backyard Basics Stamp Set? Or is it how you can see the embossed background all around the flowers? At first, it looked like she had stamped the flowers on Whisper White Card Stock and then carefully cut each one out. Upon closer inspection, she stamped the flowers on Vellum Card Stock and die-cut with the coordinating Backyard Basics Framelites Dies. That is how we see all the embossing right up to and in between the flowers and petals!
There are two more reasons why this is my favorite card second only to the Joyful Christmas card. Look at how beautiful the bottom edge is trimmed along the embossed Modern Mosaic pattern and set against the Basic Black Card Stock. Wow. A real show stopper.
The last is how she pulled the Silver Glimmer Paper along the top in to coordinate with the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the flowers. That is what we call a great finishing touch.
