Do yourself a favor. Purchase ink refills.

The firm foam pads used for the Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads are fabulous.  The ink coverage is incredible.  Even of large, solid stamps.  No more splotchy images or images with a line from the edge of the pad.  And gone are the days of pounding to ink your stamps.  Even though I do not miss all that noise, I am especially happy for any stamper with arthritic hands.  Touching the ink pad with the stamp is all it takes.  For all of the great features, you will want to do yourself a favor and purchase ink refills for all of your firm foam ink pads (ink pads sold since June 2012).  

The firm foam ink pads need re-inking more often than the old style pads.  There are two reasons.  The first is because of the amount ink delivered when stamping, and they do not hold as much ink.  Purchase the ink refills for all the Classic Stampin’ Up! Ink Pads you have purchased since June 2012 (not including those on the Clearance Rack).  You want to be able to keep on stamping with your color of choice.

Here is a purchasing tip:  whenever possible, purchase the entire color Collection.  You will save $4.55 on the Brights, Regals and Subtles Collections and $3.65 on the Neutrals Collection.  The In Color Refills are only sold individually.
