It's all in the layers for this Stampin' Up! Flower Patch card

Layers of the flower and layers of cardstock is what makes my Stampin’ Up! Flower Patch card a little extra special.

The first layer of the flower was super easy because it was die-cut in my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine with a coordinating Flower Fair Framelits Die. The other two layers were handcut. With the Paper Snips, hand-cutting is easy and relaxing, but not as quick as using the Big Shot.

The trick for a beautiful layered flower is to leave white space around each petal of the two additional flower layers like the Framelits does.

Let’s talk about the cardstock layers. This is a new favorite color combination. Mossy Meadow, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush. The colors were taken from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper.

The finishing touch was Pistachio Pudding Thick Baker’s Twine tied around the Pistachio Pudding layer, over the All Abloom Paper and under flower tied into a bow. The Thick Baker’s Twine is so very easy to tie into a bow. It comes in all five of the 2013-2015 In Colors.
