Stampin' Up! Serene Silhouettes www, stampingsmiles.comDoesn’t Mike’s Stampin’ Up! Serene Silhouettes card look like a framed picture?  It’s how he did the matting.  What’s making the difference is the layer of white between the black and the pink.  Most of us would have left out the white layer.  The card would have been beautiful.  This simple addition of this extra layer was the final touch for outstanding.

Serene Silhouettes is a favorite stamp set of many.  When you see a beautiful handmade card like Mike’s, it’s easy to see why.  The trees are one stamp that stamped several times at different heights and levels of ink.  Mike created the illusion of some trees being further in the distance by stamping them in a lighter shade of black and not quite as high.  Easy to do with stunning results.

This week is the final week of Mike’s craft store display cards.  I imagine you hope to see more of his work in the future.  I sure do.   Until then, enjoy the remaining Mike’s cards pictured below.
