As you know, our theme for Founder’s Circle 2014 is Home for the Holidays. You can see how festival and fattening my second day started. We were to select a cup and fill it with candy. Just from this table would be generously fun. But that was just the beginning! The jars with tags to follow are just scattered all over. They are eye candy as well as thigh candy. 🙂
Up to this point it has been all Christmas, Christmas all the time. And loving in. The holidays are on our mind. We’re now getting our crafting started for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. In the midst of all the wonderful Christmas decorations and decor with Christmas softly playing (heaven!), we then have our make ‘n takes. For just a moment, let’s glimpse beyond the holidays to when we can get the winter blues. When you see my make ‘n takes using the Crazy About You Stamp Set from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog, you won’t bother pencil in even a thought of fighting the winter blues!
My favorite activity was meeting Melissa Welch! Melissa is one of my sweet customers that I’ve had the pleasure of telephone chats and emails. She’s a delight, funny, beautiful and very talented. Melissa lives reasonably close to St. George and asked if we could get together for dinner. There is some free time built in to our retreat. So, absolutely! Melissa picked me up for an early dinner. We visited, ate and laughed.
Dinner with Melissa was better than getting spoiled rotten with free gifts and folks doing everything they can to make my stay enjoyable? Without a doubt, yes. Melissa makes me laugh and says the nicest stuff about me. What’s not to love? But, the real reason is she represented all of you that have entrusted me to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator or upline. You who make my job something I look forward to every day. I have the best, sweetest, kindest, caring customers and downline that are a pleasure to serve and have become friends that share the laughs and the occasional tears.
We stayed so long that Melissa said the waitress kept looking over at us. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and I wasn’t ready for the dinner to end. It’s a good thing it started to get busy encouraging us it was time to go because Melissa got me back to the hotel about two minutes before the big swap began. Rut-ro. Grabbed someone to take a picture of us and then ran up to change into my pajamas for the swap.
Since I had not made back to my room since morning, my battery died before I could take any pictures at the swap. That’s okay because over the next three months I’ll be showing them off here.
After the swap we had milk and cookies. How stinkin’ cute was that? Then off to my room. Our final picture tonight is of the pillow gift I found when I returned.
Under all the pretty wrapping is The Christmas Train book. I don’t recall reading it and am looking forward to it. My little brother loves trains. Maybe I’ll be re-gifting it? If you don’t tell, I won’t. 🙂
