It’s a new year and time for new planner to keep me organized. I found one I liked at Officedepot.com. It was on backorder with no idea of when to expect it. A friend shared a site to purchase a nice planner. But the 2015 won’t be available until March. On this site, they also provided a pdf of a planner you can print for free. How nice. The website is www.passionplanner.com.
On the site a picture is shown how to staple the pages into a manilla folder. It works. But not quite what I wanted. My husband said he’s bind it. Why didn’t I think of that? We have a binding machine.
After I printed the front and back of about 50 sheets, he punched them all. Then asked if I wanted a a heavier cover. Absolutely. I immediately knew what I wanted to use – the Stampin’ Up! Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper now on the Clearance Rack for only $5.19 (regular price of $12.95). There are patterns that are not Christmas specific. I chose the Garden Green/craft diagonal stripes pattern.
So my planner was looking pretty spiffy. Know what my next thought was? The coordinating Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit to decorate it!
Because it’s for the full year, I did stay away from the Cherry Cobbler stars. I started with the three large craft stars. Not wanting to deal with stars peeling up, I used the Adhesive Transfer Sheets to adhere the stars to my planner. Very pleased the stars did not add bulk that will make it difficult to write when folded back.
So, went to bed with the three stars. Got up thinking there was a lot more in the kit to dress it up more. The Many Merry Stars Kit is full of gold stars that complimented the green and craft well. I went a little nuts and added them all over.
How can you have a dazzling cover without a dazzling inside? For the inside I added Garden Green stars and then a lot more gold stars. Even after all the little gold stars I used, there are just about that many still in the kit.
With a planner that will daily tell me I’m a star, I’m expecting a fantastic year for my stamping business. 🙂
If you’d like to make your own planner too, use the link to print the pages. Then order the Under the Tree Specialty Paper and Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit in my online store. If you don’t have a binding machine, take you it to an office supply store. You should be able to have it bound quite reasonably.
