Stampin' Up! Balloon Bash Stamp SetMy girlfriend loves to copy the samples from the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs. Her latest with the Stampin’ Up! Balloon Bash Stamp Set just wasn’t working out as well as she hoped. She was adapting the treat bag sample using the Balloon Bash set in the Occasions Catalog.

Picture this, the card base was 4-1/4″ wide and 5-1/2″ tall.  It was a perfectly fine card with the 4″ Whisper White Cardstock centered on the 5-1/4″ Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper. But it was plain. Especially after looking at the sample with pompoms. I was trying to see how she could work in a balloon like I did for my Balloon Bash card I posted last week. There wasn’t room.

Seeing she wasn’t pleased, I asked to see the card. Turned it 90 degrees so that it was now 5-1/5″ wide and 4-1/4″ tall (pictured). The 4″ tall Whisper White with the greeting snuggled in on the left side of the card. Now it just need a little something more. Now there was room for not just one balloon but three!

My friend’s card went from a perfectly fine, but plain, card to a festive and fun card. A turn was all it needed.
