The burnt orange, warm yellow and mint flowers are quite attractive together in the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper. To mix things up, I went to purple flowers for a pretty Botanical Builder Framelits card.
The Elegant Eggplant flower sure looks pretty with the Mossy Meadow and Old Olive greens of the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.
Instead of die-cutting the leaves and placing them on top of the card front, I die-cut leaves into the card front to provide some dimension. Because I didn’t add Stampin’ Dimensionals between the front of the card and the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper showing through, it would have looked pretty much the same had I simply die-cut the flowers and placed them on top. Isn’t that how it goes sometimes?
All the die-cuts used on my handmade greeting card are part of the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. It’s an amazing set of dies. It wasn’t until I die-cut the fern like leaves did I realize how delicate and pretty they are.
Only the centers of the sweet small flowers on the lower left were not created from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. For those the 1/8″ Circle Handheld Punch made those out of Crushed Curry Cardstock. Little touches like that make a card.
We’re waiting for the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Retiring List (Monday, April 18, 1PM MT). Will we see the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set and Botanical Builder Framelits Dies on that list? Just don’t know. But I do know is if they are and you are wanting to have both before they retire, place your order immediately! Why? Because accessories, which includes everything that is not a stamp set, will be only while supplies last. The most popular accessories have been known to sell out very quickly.
It’s pretty much a given the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper will be on the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Retiring Accessories List. If it is, it will be only while supplies last too.
If order both the stamp set and coordinating Framelits Dies, be sure to order the Botanical Blooms Bundle and save 15% on both in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com! You’ll find just the Framelits and the bundle pictured below. Click on the one you prefer to order.
