Lots of Kisses for a 50th Wedding Anniversary Gift!

Yesterday I shared my handmade 50th wedding anniversary card made with the May Flowers Framelits Dies. It was designed to coordinate with a jar full of lots of Kisses for a 50th wedding anniversary gift.

The idea started when I spotted gold wrapped Hershey Kisses with Almonds. Then I remembered my retired S.W.A.K Stamp. This was going to be fun a design challenge.

The jar filled with the Hershey Kisses with Almonds was immediately attractive, making it easy to decorate. The design started with the golden anniversary sentiment.

To tie the Hershey Kisses to my lips stamp I came up with the sentiment of celebrating 50 years of kisses. Once that was done the rest fell into place.

The kisses greeting was printed on Whisper White Cardstock and then die-cut with one of the retired Circles Collection Framelits Dies. It was then layered onto a Gold Foil Sheets paper die-cut with one of the also retired Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies.

The lips stamp was embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Whisper White Cardstock and then hand trimmed with Paper Snips.

The finishing touches were Gold Foil die-cut numbers from the Large Numbers Framelits Dies adorning the jar lid and 1/8″ Gold Ribbon wrapped around and tied into a bow with long tails.

A girlfriend was with me as I decorated my candy filled jar. I told her it was sad because of the retired products I used I wouldn’t be able to share it here. Her advice was to share this anniversary gift idea because many of you purchased the now retired Circles and Windows Frames Dies. And then asked if I was going to sell those retired dies. It is on my to-do list to make my retired dies available to purchase.

But not my S.W.A.K. stamp. Because it’s an intricate part of the design, I searched for one that is available to purchase and found the Lips Rubber Stamp on Amazon. Not the same but fairly close.
