When I first started stamping I organized my scrap cardstock pieces in a page protector by color collection. Seemed like a good idea . . . until I needed a piece. I’d have to pull out a bunch of cardstock and then start sifting through to find the right color. That was so frustrating I’d just grab a full sheet of cardstock and produce even more scraps! How do you organize your scrap cardstock?
About 10 years ago or I wised up. Each color was given its own 6″ x 8″ Cellophane Bag. Anything from a half sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ of cardstock and smaller went into the bag. Each family of colors were then added to a basket. It’s so easy to grab a basket and then the cello bag with the color I’m after. I’ve saved a lot of time looking for colors and money because I quit cutting up all my full sheets.
I’ve shared my system with many customers. Just this past weekend with another. Then a friend offered an improvement to my system. That improvement is to label the cellophane bags of cardstock.
