The versatility of the limited-edition Stampin’ Up! Stampin' Up! Beautiful Branches CardThoughtful Branches is amazing! Responding to a comment left on my video on how to make custom color Glimmer Paper for a Thoughtful Branches card, I saw on the side that a couple of clever stampers turned the tree leaves / hydrangea blooms die-cut upside down to create a pumpkin. I could hardly wait to create my own pumpkin card!

I don’t know what it is about the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies, but I just find myself using them with Stampin’ Up! Glimmer Paper again and again.

And now I’m at it again, this time using the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper from the upcoming 2016 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches Card

The pumpkin was easy. A leaf was easy too. You have two choices in the same set of Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies: a leaf from the flower stem and leaves die or the single leaf Framelits Dies. I tried both and preferred the smaller leaf die. But where do we get a stem for our pumpkin? That turned out to be easy too.

The pumpkin stem is the bottom portion of the stem and leaves, again turned upside down.

Once again, out came my Sponge Brayers and Classic Stampin’ Pads to make Glimmer Paper in my colors of choice – Chocolate Chip and Old Olive for the stem and leaf. But the colors were just not as deep as the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper. It was time for intense color. Out came the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad Refills. Added a couple of drops directly onto the die-cut Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and used the Sponge Brayers to spread the ink. They both hold their own with the manufactured Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper.

This morning Stampin’ Up! announced the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set and Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies are now available only while supplies last. They also added they WILL NOT be included in any future publications.
