Did you see my see my Stampin’ Up! Christmas
Magic ornament card with the snowman? This time I used the train from the Christmas Magic Stamp Set for a new Christmas card design.
Like many of my customers, my girlfriend instantly fell in love with the Christmas Magic Stamp Set, in particular, the train. I made it my mission to design a Christmas card she’d love with the train stamp. It was a successful mission. 🙂
The card design started with the idea of turning the train into a Christmas tree ornament with a glass-like finish. You can see how do get that look in my card video tutorial here.
The stamp set, ornament and glass-like finish are the only similarities between the two hand stamped Christmas cards. One of differences is how I added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the snow using the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere it. It reminds me of some favorite ornaments we used every year to decorate the tree as a family tradition that always included Master Gardener Mom’s homemade eggnog.
Another difference is the pine bough embossed background. Isn’t it pretty? It was made with the Pine Bough Embossing Folder from the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. Garden Green Classic Stampin’ Pad ink was sponged onto the Garden Green embossed cardstock with a Sponge Dauber to make the pine boughs stand out.
