That crazy bird from the Sale-a-bration Hey, Chick Stamp Set

I think everyone’s favorite bird in the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Hey, Chick Stamp Set is the bird with a mop head of feathers. Did you know that it’s a REAL bird? According to www.purelypoultry.com, it’s a Silver Laced Polish Chicken.

My husband and a friend that had children in 4-H knew it’s a real bird. So, maybe it’s just me that didn’t know. I was delighted to discover it’s real when Googling chicken hens to see the coloring of the other two. Here’s my fun Hey, Chick card in black and white with a pop of pink.

The pattern paper is from the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper. Black and hot pink are one of my favorite color combinations. The coordinating washi tape adorning the bottom of the card is from the coordinating Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape.

The Melon Mambo (hot pink) ink splatter is one of the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Sets. That’s a great stamp set to have when you want to add an accent of color.
