Quick & Cute Stampin' Up! Varied Vases Note Card

There’s a big buzz about the new Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Stamp Set and coordinating Vases Builder Punch! There are nine vase stamps (that all punch out!), an assortment of flowers and greetings stamps ready to mix and match for virtually endless greeting cards.

I used just one vase filled with two tulips for my quick & cute note card. It looks like I did an awesome job watercoloring the background from a deep Mint Macaron at the top that gradually gets lighter to the bottom. But, I didn’t do any watercoloring. It’s one of the four designs from the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes. A beautiful backdrop for the flower-filled vase.

The two colors for the tulips were made with ONE ink pad using the stamping off technique. The darkest one was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The lighter one was too, but this time it was stamped first on a piece of scrap paper to lighten the ink. Two shades of color from one ink pad.
